A Lunch Visit To The Shelter

Such a long time never step in the Paws Mission shelter. I become a stranger to all the fellow furry friends. They bark at me and do not know who am I.

It's a shock to me when I found out that the number of stray in the shelter increase almost triple; from 15 to 50. Just imagine how serious the stray cats and dogs in our society.

Again, the work load of Aunty Kiew has increased tremendously.  Now she has  two  work-mates helping her out; luckily.

Their job function also change. Initially they clean the shelter and feed the dogs. But now, additional duty for them........ become a peace-maker to the dogs. Due to too many dogs in one shelter, sometimes there will be some fights between our furry friends. So Kiew and others need to keep them in peace. when there is a fight. I can't imagine the scene, but I have experienced it today. Not an easy job !!
Hey, who are you ?

That's how serious the stray problem is and appeal all the prospective adopters gives all these strays a chance to live in a better home environment. Don't buy one...adopt one.!

Two Naughty Friends......

This is the two vaccinated dog playing in the "House" (They should get a better house). They are very friendly !

May be they are bored of staying just in the confined area。 They want to be taken out for a walk.( That's why we urge more volunteers can help us to mantain the daily work for the stray dogs... Aunty Kiew is really short of hand to do that)

They tried to jump out from the fencing....finally they managed to do that. One played at the "Longkang" and one run to the riverside path. He seem like wanting to get some fresh air there. I tried to walk close to him but he walk off from me. So I stayed far from him and kept an eye on him. Finally he followed me back to the "house".

After the first jump-out, I put a board to block the way. He still attempted to jump. Initially failed, but without my notice, finally, he managed to jump out again. You see ! How smart our rescued dogs !! Prospective adopters......consider our dogs!!
